GPS Insight Adds Automated Driver Assignment and Driver-Based Reporting to Its GPS Fleet Tracking Offering.


GPS Insight Customers May Now Report and Alert on Individual Drivers, in Addition to Vehicles

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- GPS Insight, a leading supplier of GPS tracking See vehicle tracking.  hardware and software solutions for commercial and municipal fleets, announces a powerful new capability where customers may assign drivers to vehicles automatically in order to report on their activity across multiple vehicles.

A driver may be assigned to a vehicle in five different ways:

o Manual assignment via the web interface

o Touching a driver "keyfob" to a reader in the vehicle

o Sending the driver ID via Garmin using GPS Insight's Garmin Integration

o Driver sends SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files. See HSM.

(2) (Systems Management Server) Systems management software from Microsoft that runs on Windows NT Server.
