Fresh from the hot Sunset Strip steakery Balboa comes chef Gabriel Morales with a menu of 10 entrees priced from $20 (fire-roasted eggplant Parmesan) to $39 (veal porterhouse), nine starters from $7 to $24 and half a dozen ``middle courses'' of mostly salads from $10 to $16. Look for steak and chop plates ($28 to $34), lamb osso buco ($27), duck breast ($26) and halibut halibut: see flatfish. halibut Any of various flatfishes, especially the Atlantic and Pacific halibuts (genus Hippoglossus, family Pleuronectidae), both of which have eyes and colour on the right side.
