GOOD TASTES.DESIGNER PEANUT BUTTERS: Over the years, we've sampled several flavored peanut butters, but mostly they weren't great - and not something we'd buy. Now, New York-based Peanut Butter & Co. (which Lee Zalben Lee Zalben, nicknamed the Peanut Butter Guy, (born 1973, in Philadelphia) is a cookbook author and the founder of Peanut Butter & Co., a sandwich shop in Greenwich Village, New York City. It can be thinned down and used as a dipping sauce for grilled chicken or turkey kabobs, in a peanut butter salad dressing or over noodles noo·dle 1 n. More new flavors are being cooked up, so look for them in the future. - Natalie Haughton NEW MEGA BURGER: Bucking the trend of those opposed to super-size foods or huge portions, Carl's Jr. has just introduced the 1-pound Double Six Dollar Burger to its line of Six Dollar Burgers. It features two (1/2- pound) charbroiled, 100 percent Angus beef patties topped with three slices of American cheese, bread-and-butter pickles, red onions, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise on a toasted, seeded bun. This mega-burger, with a suggested retail of $5.49, is designed to appeal to young, hungry guys. No doubt it could easily be split to serve two - or even three, who are opting for normal-size portions. But do we really need a burger filled with a pound of beef? Only sales will tell. - N.H. MORE FRAPPUCCINO FLAVORS: If you love Starbucks' Frappuccinos, there are five new recently introduced flavors to consider. Among them are Java Chip, Double Chocolate Chip, Strawberries & Creme, Caffe Vanilla and Vanilla Bean. They sound cool and tempting and are available at all Starbucks stores. Prices range from $2.65 to $3.95 depending on size (tall, grande or venti) and flavor. In a recent U.S. survey sponsored by Starbucks, 41 percent of consumers selected chocolate as their favorite classic flavor, followed by strawberry at 29 percent and vanilla at 28 percent. -N.H.
