 whose Irish charm propelled his Jimmy's into a fashionable Beverly Hills Beverly Hills, city (1990 pop. 31,971), Los Angeles co., S Calif., completely surrounded by the city of Los Angeles; inc. 1914. The largely residential city is home to many motion-picture and television personalities.  rendezvous for celebrities and politicians for two decades, has resurfaced with a new West L.A. restaurant called Jimmy's Tavern.

On the site previously occupied by Piero Selvaggio's Primi, the new Jimmy's place is said to be smaller and less imposing than Murphy's Century City-area haunt.

A younger Murphy, son Sean, shares hosting duties with his dad. And chef David Fouts, whose credits include several top local kitchens, is cooking his Asian-influenced, contemporary American food.

The a la carte menu, with prices running from $7.50 to $17 for starters, $14 to $29.50 for pastas and entrees and $7.50 for desserts, highlights such dishes as seared sear 1
