PRETZEL CHIPS

Kettle Foods Kettle Foods is an international manufacturer of potato chips and other snack foods based in Salem, Oregon, United States. As of 2006 they were the largest natural potato chip brand in the U.S.  has introduced Bakes Pretzel Chips, a thin, flat interpretation of a classic that looks and crunches like a chip. The new healthier baked snacks -- pretzels for potato chip lovers -- are thin wide, flat crisps. Available in three flavors -- Original (dusted with salt crystals), Fully Loaded (with a blend of garlic, onion, caraway caraway, biennial Old World plant (Carum carvi) of the family Umbelliferae (parsley family), cultivated in Europe and North America for its aromatic seeds. , poppy and sesame seeds) and Honey Dijon (with a combo of honey and Dijon mustard), the chips are packaged in 7-ounce bags with a suggested retail price of $3.29 each. The hands-down favorite flavor with tasters was the Honey Dijon (tasters couldn't get enough of them). We'd definitely buy them. Depending on the flavor, a 1-ounce serving of seven to eight pretzel chips contains 110 to 120 calories and 1 to 3 grams fat (no trans fat trans fat

DELICIOUS MAGAZINE

Dazzling delightful delicious, a new magazine based on the successful delicious magazine from Australia, is being test-marketed in this country by Reader's Digest Reader's Digest

U.S.-based monthly magazine. Founded by DeWitt and Lila Wallace, it was first published in 1922 as a digest of articles of topical interest and entertainment value condensed from other periodicals.
 Association. The first (June) issue of the digest-size magazine offers 65 recipes, all with photos, created by talented cooks and chefs. It appears to be similar in size to Everyday Food, but this new publication has glossy cover stock and slicker pages.

Among the recipes in the first issue are Jamie Oliver's That Watermelon watermelon, plant (Citrullus vulgaris) of the family Curcurbitaceae (gourd family) native to Africa and introduced to America by Africans transported as slaves. The magazine, which sells for $3.99, is now in supermarkets, drug stores, Wal-Mart, Target, newsstands and selected book stores.

In addition to the digest-size magazine, Reader's Digest is also testing a dazzling delightful delicious ``bookazine'' (hybrid book and magazine) that should be in bookstores and supermarkets now. Priced at $14.99, it contains 148 pages and 110 recipes organized by chapter.

Sales and reader reaction will determine future publishing plans for both.
