NORTHRIDGE FARMERS MARKET OPENS

Northridge Fashion Center's farmers market and family festival opens at 5 p.m. Wednesday, continuing every Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. through Oct. 25, in the Tampa Avenue parking lot near Macy's and Borders Books. The market will feature produce from more than 30 farmers, food and activities for children.

Hoppy treats

Just in time for Easter, Indiana-based Endangered Species endangered species, any plant or animal species whose ability to survive and reproduce has been jeopardized by human activities. In 1999 the U.S. government, in accordance with the U.S.  Chocolate Co. has introduced Hoppy Treats. Available in either dark or milk chocolate (made with all natural ingredients), each 8.4-ounce bag contains 24 (.35-ounce) chocolate squares. They're delicious. The dark chocolate has a 70 percent cocoa content while the milk has 52 percent. Every purchase of the company's nearly 30 products helps save endangered species (10 percent of net profits support them).
