GOOD TASTES.NEW DESSERT IN A CUP: Starbucks just introduced Chantico, a decadent, luxurious, rich, premium chocolate drink (made with cocoa butter cocoa butter n. A yellowish-white fatty solid obtained from cacao seeds and used as an ingredient in cosmetics, tanning oils, chocolate, and soap. Also called cacao butter. and cocoa powder Noun 1. cocoa powder - the powdery remains of chocolate liquor after cocoa butter is removed; used in baking and in low fat and low calorie recipes and as a flavoring for ice cream chocolate - a food made from roasted ground cacao beans steamed with whole milk). The company refers to it as a drinkable dessert (probably because it contains enough calories, 390 per 6-ounce cup, to be a dessert) - and likens it to drinking a melted truffle truffle (trŭf`əl) [Fr.], subterranean edible fungus that forms a mutually beneficial (symbiotic) relationship with the roots of certain trees and plants. The part of the fungus used as food is the ascoma, the fruiting body of the fungus. . This is no diet drink, with 21 grams of fat and 51 grams of carbohydrates. It's delicious and reminded me of the famous thick, indulgent hot chocolate I ordered at Angelina, a cafe and pastry shop in Paris on the Rue de Rivoli. To celebrate the Aztec origins of drinking chocolate, Chantico is named for the Aztec goddess of hearth and fire.
