The new Gingergrass in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles sets the tone of its ``fresh Vietnamese cuisine'' with its house salad ($7.95) of tofu tofu

Gingergrass, at 2396 Glendale Blvd., has no alcohol presently, is open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. nightly except Monday, until 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, call (323) 644-1600.
