Limited to California wines, the competition was first held in 1855. Entry forms, fees, wine labels and the wine may be submitted May 10-28 to Expo Center, Building 6, on the grounds of Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento. The judging is June 18-20 and winners will be announced July 15 at the California Grape & Gourmet (advance tickets are $50 and available online at www.bigfun.org). But at a recently opened sushi bar and Japanese cafe called Tomo Sushi in Burbank, happy hours mean a nonalcoholic non·al·co·hol·ic adj.
