GONZALEZ PROMOTED TO CORPORATE VICE-PRESIDENT AND TOP MANAGEMENT TEAM AT MCDONALD'S CORPORATION

 OAK BROOK, Ill., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Henry Gonzalez, Regional Vice President - Hartford, Conn., has been promoted to Corporate Vice President - Operations, and a member of McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) Top Management Team, according to Thomas W. Glasgow, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer.
 Gonzalez, 43, will be responsible for all corporate operations and training departments nationally and will report to Glasgow. In his new role, he will also focus on maximizing the potential of McDonald's Customer Satisfaction Strategy.
 "Since joining McDonald's as a restaurant manager trainee, Henry has worked his way up through the ranks honing his operations and leadership skills," said Glasgow. "His leadership and hands-on experience will be a great asset to our management team as it continues to focus on satisfying every one of our customers and sustaining McDonald's competitive advantage."
 Previously, Gonzalez served as a Regional Vice President where he was responsible for the operations of more than 220 McDonald's restaurants in four states. As Regional Vice President, he aggressively led the Hartford, Connecticut, region in developing innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction, market share and profitability. In addition, Gonzalez has led the pilot team on McDonald's current test of home delivery.
 He began his career with McDonald's in 1973 as a restaurant manager trainee in the Philadelphia region upon graduation from Bryant College. During the next ten years, he held every mid-management operations position from area supervisor to operations manager and field service manager.
 In 1983, Gonzalez joined the Oak Brook National Operations team as a Staff Director and was promoted to Home Office Director in 1985. He returned to the field in 1986 to lead the newly formed Hartford district, before it was expanded into a region, as its first District Manager.
 He is the recipient of McDonald's Alpha Award and President's Award. He currently serves on the boards of Ronald McDonald Children's Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts and is involved with Greater Hartford Foodshare, a regional food bank.
 Gonzalez, his wife, Donna, and three daughters will be relocating to the Chicago area.
