Byline: Dave Shelburne Staff Writer

Sophomore Lucas Allensworth was a medalist at 71 and Hart teammate Joe Greiner shot 72 to win the Foothill League scoring championship Tuesday, as Hart shot 372 at Griffith Park Griffith Park is a large public park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains. It is situated in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The park covers 4,210 acres (17 km²) of land, making it one of the largest urban parks in North America.  Harding to win the final league tournament of the year and secure its 14th league title in 16 years.

Hart coach Aaron Fuller called it an accomplishment, given the lack of depth of his team and the overwhelming depth of the league, which advanced four 20-win teams to the Southern Section playoffs.

Second-place Burroughs (26-11-1), third-place Valencia (21-17-4) and fourth-place Saugus (21-14-1) will join first-place Hart (41-4) in the section team prelims, scheduled for a 7:58 a.m. start Tuesday at Sterling Hills in Camarillo.

``The league was tough this year,'' Fuller said Tuesday. ``It was deep, and we (Hart) haven't been as deep as we have been, like last year and in the past. It's tough because you have to play your game to win.

``We didn't play our best today but still played solid. We shot 12 over par and only beat Saugus and Valencia by three shots, so there's no gimme gim·me
