Sophomore Tyler De Groot, at No. 4, shot a 79 in windy conditions at Moorpark Country Club. Paul Misko, son of the coach, plays No. 5 as a freshman and has a best of 72 at par-67 Westlake Village. And freshman Joey Buttitta, son of Westlake Village teaching pro Joe Buttitta, is contending with sophomore Bryan Austria and senior Daniel Brown for the sixth and final starting spot. Buttitta has been hampered by a hand injury and limited to just two rounds, but one of them was a 3-over-par 70 in an important league win over Moorpark.
