The Altima (pronounced ALL-timah) is a mid-size car (formerly compact) currently being manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan, and is arguably a continuation of the , appropriate as Valencia readies for the Nissan Open beginning next week. The contest will open at 10 a.m. at Newhall Land's community information center on the northeast corner of McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard in the parking lot of the Valencia Town Center. It will run through the end of the Open, scheduled for March 15. The cost is $3 per entry, which will be donated to golf teams at the college and at Canyon, Hart, Saugus and Valencia high schools.
