GOLF CLUB IS FACING SOME BIG CHANGES.

Byline: Angie ANGIE Adaptive Network for Granular Information and Evidence Processing  Valencia-Martinez Staff Writer

SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  - The Simi Valley City Council on Monday Monday: see week.  will review a proposal by the operators of Lost Canyons Golf Club to build hundreds of homes on the site of one of the club's two public courses.

The hearing will determine whether developers can apply for a zoning change that would allow the building of as many as 364 custom homes. If the council agrees to consider the request, the plan would go through a formal review process.

Club officials also are proposing turning the public golf course on Tapo Canyon Road into a private operation.

``I'm I'm

Contraction of I am.

Our Living Language Speakers of some scattered varieties of American English sometimes use I'm instead of I've or I have in present perfect constructions, as in
looking forward to hearing their pre-screen to see if this change will make sense for the community,'' said City Councilman Glen Becerra. ``There's always concerns when you're taking something open and available to everyone and turning it private.''

Some neighbors have raised traffic concerns with the development, which would mark the city's first custom-made homes.

Lost Canyons, which opened in 2001, has two 18-hole public golf courses and a clubhouse. The proposed development would include private roads A street or route that is designated by a public authority to accommodate a person or a group of people.

A private road is often established because an individual needs to gain access to land; such a road can cross another person's property.
 and security gates.
