GOLF: GLOVER, ROSE SHARE LEAD AT HOPE.

PALM DESERT -- Justin Rose Justin Peter Rose (born 30 July 1980) is an English professional golfer. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to the United Kingdom at the age of five.

Rose burst to prominence at The Open Championship in 1998.
 has maintained at least a share of the lead at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is a professional golf tournament played each January in California's Coachella Valley. Part of the PGA Tour's early season West Coast Swing, this tournament is well known for its celebrity pro-am, as well as having five daily 18-hole rounds of  since the second round. He'll have some company when play begins today for the final round of the 90-hole tournament.

Lucas Glover Lucas Hendley Glover (born November 12, 1979) is an American professional golfer.

Glover was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University from 1998 until 2001. During his Clemson career he was named an 1st Team All-America in 2000 and 2001.

``I walked outside of the room this morning and knew the sun was already out,'' said Glover, who made up a five-stroke deficit. ``I knew it wasn't going to be like (Friday).''

Quinney was born in Eugene, Oregon. He had a successful amateur career, winning the U.S. Amateur Championship in 2000, and represented the USA in the Walker Cup in 2001.
 and Charley Hoffman are tied for fourth at 16under. First-round leader Robert Allenby and sponsor-exempted Duffy Waldorf head the list of seven at 15under. Scott Verplank faded with a 2-over 74 at La Quinta and is six shots behind.

``I'm not real surprised that I'm playing well,'' said Rollins, who fired a final-round 67 at last week's Sony Open. ``At the same time, I have one more day to go, and we'll work on fine-tuning the mistakes I made down the stretch.''

Phil Mickelson played his best round of the tourney, with a 6-under 66 that included ninebirdies at Bermuda Dunes. He is tied for 19th at 13 under.

``I felt I probably needed about 9 (under) to get within five shots of the lead,'' he said. ``I thought within five or six may have a shot (today) because ... you can still shoot 6 or 7under if you get it going.''
