Golden Key Toys & Games, LLC of Portland, Oregon has just the right key to unlock the doors of its new Internet business. Alicia Collier and Mitch Collier, co-owners of Golden Key Toys & Games, have announced the launch of their new web-based retail business just in time for the holiday season.

Golden Key Toys & Games sells unique toys and games from around world on their new website. Although the toys and games are sold through an e-commerce business, they are anything but electronic.

"The toys and games have an old-world quality to them; they are the type of toys that today's parents and grandparents had when they were children," notes Alicia Collier. "The games don't require a computer or television to play, but are just as entertaining."

The "vintage" section of the website is sure to be a hit with parents and grandparents who want quality, non-electronic toys or games. Featured items currently include pull-along toys "Chatter Telephone" and "Dr. Duck," limited edition numbered Speedway Race Cars, and "Band-in-a-Box" musical instrument sets.

The Colliers both have management backgrounds in Portland's high-tech industry. They became intrigued with toys and games after starting a family of their own, and realized that quality toys were not readily available. After four years of researching manufacturers of unique products, the Colliers have assembled a wide variety of toys and games, designed to inspire the imagination and creativity of children of all ages.

"Golden Key products come from select companies in many different countries," said Mitch Collier. "On our website you can find dolls from France, puppets from Germany, dinosaur model kits from Canada, and pirate-themed board games from here in the U.S."

Currently Golden Key is an online store only, although they plan to open a retail location in Portland in 2007-2008.
