He served in the Brazilian Government as a Congressional Representative for 2 terms, as well as Planning and Budget Minister and Chairman of the Privatization Council. He is currently Partner and Director of Banco Ribeirao Preto and member of the Board of Directors of AVIPAL/ELEGE, Cecrisa, Portugal Telecom and Jacklinks Brasil.
