GOALKEEPER FRACTURES WRISTS AND INJURES PELVIS IN BIKE SMASH.


TOTTENHAM goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini Carlo Cudicini (born September 6 1973 in Milan) is an Italian footballer. He is the son of former A.C. Milan goalkeeper Fabio Cudicini and grandson of Ponziana Trieste defender Guglielmo Cudicini (deceased). He currently plays for Chelsea F.C.  has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after he was involved in a serious road accident yesterday morning, The 36-year-old goalkeeper was admitted to hospital and underwent scans under the supervision of the club's medical staff.

The former Chelsea star's injuries were initially described by the police as 'possibly life-changing'.

A police spokesperson said: "A 36-year-old male suffered injuries described as possibly life-changing and was taken to an East London hospital for further assessment and treatment." A spokesperson for Tottenham, confirmed the Italian had fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis, said: "We can confirm Carlo Cudicini was involved in a road accident this morning. The club doctor is with him at hospital where we await the result of scans and tests."

The female driver and a child passenger walked away from the car and did not need hospital treatment. Cudicini arrived at White Hart Lane

 last January having been signed on a free transfer after a decade at Chelsea.

He has made eight appearances and only last month said he was keen to stay beyond the end of the campaign, when his contract expires.
