SCOTTISH viewers could set the singing MacDonald Brothers The MacDonald brothers (risibly described as the McDonought Brothers) are well-known pipers and folk musicians from Scotland. They are world famous for their playing, most notably for their piping and have been groundbreaking in their styles of playing as well as their knowledge of  on the road to the X Factor final tonight.

Craig and Brian, both 20, have battled their way to the last four despite being rubbished by "Mr Nasty" judge Simon Cowell Simon Cowell (born 7 October, 1959) is a British artist and repertoire ("A&R") executive for Sony BMG in the United Kingdom and a television producer, more commonly known as a judge on television programmes such as Pop Idol, The X Factor, American Idol .

Yesterday, their mum Margaret begged Scots to back the brothers all the way to the final on December 16 - Craig's 21st birthday.

She said: "It would be such an achievement if they made it to the final but they can't do without their Scottish voters, that's for sure."

Mentor Louis Walsh has picked Bay City Rollers hit Shang-a-lang and Barry Manilow's Can't Smile Without You as their songs for tonight's show.
