Now the duo face an even greater threat - how on earth do you top such a massive success story? Well you recruit the same two stars whose chemistry made it so great in the first place. Then you throw more money at the project and you come up with some wierd and wonderful new aliens of course. Unfortunately, along the way, the makers forgot to keep the high standards of humour, haven't captured the original's imagination and have failed to add even a hint of new inspiration. In the end it seems rather a rush job to haul some cash in. This time around Jay is the MiB's top agent, but finds himself unstuck when evil alien Sarleena arrives on earth in search of a mysterious hidden light. And when she takes on the form of an underwear model, all hell breaks loose! It seems the only man who can save the planet from this new menace is Jay's former partner Kay - but he's been "deneuralysed" and now works as a postal worker A postal worker is one who works for a post office, such as a mail carrier. Yes, the new creatures and bugs are as great as you'd expect and as sequels go it's OK in a we-know-and-love-them, familiar kind of way. Plus there's a few nice touches - a giant underground many-toothed worm called Jeffrey, a wonderful train locker moment and Kay's fellow post office workers being revealed as not quite what they seem. But roping in all the original's favourites (the worm guys, Frank the dog, Jeebs the head-spouting shop owner) again and giving them even more screen time isn't the way forward, proving the movie is neither as fresh or enjoyable as its predecesor.
