The company said that during contract bids for an undisclosed UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle A powered, aerial vehicle that does not carry a human operator, uses aerodynamic forces to provide vehicle lift, can fly autonomously or be piloted remotely, can be expendable or recoverable, and can carry a lethal or nonlethal payload. ) contract, the S705 was chosen over competing rugged systems as delivering the highest processing power per cubic inch, per watt.

The system has a Core 2 Duo See Core 2.  processor providing up to 2.16GHz of power and 4MB of L2 Cache, and up to 2GB of 667MHz DDR-2SDRAM. It is available in a variety of configurations to be upgradeable and compatible along the Intel migration path.

The S705 offers the capacity to support five different expansion buses, a range of I/O and numerous video/audio options. The product also features small envelope (single drive is 4.6 x 4.6 x 1.6", weighing 2lbs) and low power requirements (15W total).

Raider supports up to six wireless radios on four to six antennae feeds. This built-in functionality enables simultaneous monitoring and tracking of phone, wireless, CDMA, TDMA, Wi-Fi, GPS or Bluetooth.
