GMHA Restructures Staff.

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 1999--

The Georgia Manufactured Housing Association (GMHA) announces that it has restructured its staff positions and responsibilities.

The Board of Directors changed Executive Director Charlotte Gattis's title to president. The Board also created the position of executive vice president and changed the title of communications director to public affairs director to better reflect the position's duties. The purpose of the restructuring is to allow Ms. Gattis to concentrate more of her efforts on federal and state legislative and regulatory issues while remaining responsible for overall operations of the Association under the supervision of the Board of Directors.

R. Christopher Sinclair was appointed executive vice president and David Johnson was appointed public affairs director.

Sinclair joins GMHA from the North Carolina Manufactured Housing Institute (NCMHI). He served NCMHI as assistant executive director and prior to that as director of government affairs. Prior to his service with NCMHI, Sinclair worked with the Manufactured Housing Institute of South Carolina and the Greenville County Planning Commission. Sinclair holds a Masters degree from the University of Tennessee and an undergraduate degree from Mars Hill College.

Sinclair's duties will be daily supervision of office activities and coordination of staff with the Association's various Committees. "I am excited by the opportunities and challenges at GMHA," Sinclair said. "I look forward to working with the Board, members, and staff of GMHA in this new capacity."

Johnson joins GMHA from the Office of the Mayor of Miami-Dade County. He served the Mayor's office as Communications and Legislative Coordinator. Prior to working for the Mayor, Johnson worked with the Office of the Governor of Florida, the Florida Department of Labor and Employment Security, and Associated Industries of Florida. He holds an undergraduate degree from Florida State University.

Johnson's responsibilities will be implement programs to enhance the public's perception of today's manufactured homes and the manufactured housing industry, as well as handle internal communications for the Association.

The Georgia Manufactured Housing Association (GMHA) is a not-for-profit trade association representing the manufactured housing industry with a membership of over 500. The GMHA membership is comprised of manufacturers, suppliers, professional service companies, retailers and developers of manufactured homes in Georgia.
