GMAS To Display the C-27J Spartan During the Royal International Air Tattoo.

Global Military Aircraft Systems Showcases the C-27J Spartan, the "No Compromise" True Military, Medium Tactical Transport Aircraft Aircraft designed primarily for the carriage of personnel and/or cargo over short or medium distances.  During the Royal International Air Tattoo The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is the world's largest military airshow, held annually over the third weekend in July, usually at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The show attracts around 150,000 spectators.  (RIAT) July July: see month.  16-17, 2005
WHAT: Global Military Aircraft Systems (GMAS), a joint venture of
Finmeccanica's Alenia North America, Inc. and L-3 Integrated
Systems (L-3/IS), a subsidiary of L-3 Communications will
showcase the C-27J Spartan aircraft during the Royal
International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at the RAF Fairford, UK.

The C-27J is considered the industry's leading medium lift
cargo aircraft, providing superior performance and best value
to the armed forces of the world. The static display of the
C-27J during the RIAT is to demonstrate the aircraft's
capabilities to the Air Tattoo attendees.

GMAS is offering the C-27J Spartan as the solution for the U.S.
Army's Future Cargo Aircraft (FCA) program. The FCA program is
a key component in the Army's transformation of its fixed wing
fleet, which calls for the procurement of a new fleet of cargo
fixed wing aircraft. To support the future force, the FCA must
be a multifunctional and interoperable aircraft, able to
perform logistical re-supply, medevac, troop movement, airdrop
operations, humanitarian assistance, and missions in support of
       Homeland Security.
