My older sister tells me everything she does with boys and partying. When I say I don't want to hear it, she claims I'm immature. I should tell on her. But then I'd lose her trust.

There's such a thing as TMI. It's nice that your sister confides in you, but if her behavior is causing her to be a danger to herself, it's important to tell your parents. If you don't think she's doing anything harmful--just stuff you don't want to hear about--then firmly tell her she has plenty of friends to talk to about this stuff. If she doesn't get it, switch the subject or walk out of the room.

I like my best guy friend. He constantly compliments me and is so sweet. The problem is his bratty girlfriend. He claims he doesn't care about her, but I've seen them kissing.

What to do? In this case, not much. You don't want to come between him and his girlfriend. You'd definitely risk your friendship. If he really doesn't care about her, they'll likely break up eventually. Then, you can let him know your feelings.

I feel proud that I made the volleyball team, but I feel uncomfortable around my coach. Sometimes, he feels and snaps my bra. He yelled at us for being modest and opened the locker room door while we were changing. I have talked to a guidance counselor, but I really want to quit.

Congratulations to you. Not only did you make the cut, but you also let someone know about your coach's despicable behavior, which he definitely needs to be called on. The way he's acting is completely unacceptable, and you absolutely did the right thing by telling someone. But what has your guidance counselor done about it? If she hasn't told the principal or another school official, why not? Your coach is the one who needs to quit the team, not you. So talk to your teammates, your mom, your principal and anyone else you think can help make this happen. This man is not fit to coach any team.

My parents won't let me watch PG-13 films. It's so embarrasing when my friends ask me to the movies.

Can't blame your parents for not wanting you to be exposed to images then don't feel are age-appropriate. But what exactly do your parents object to? Is it sex, violence, bad language? Movie ratings have warnings for what to expect in a film. So, if a PG-13 flick has a lot of swear words ("strong language") but nothing hot and heavy ("sexual content"), perhaps the folks will let you see it. They still say, "No way"? Host a movie night at your house with your pals, complete with PG rentals and popcorn.

My mom hates my boyfriend. It causes so much tension. What should I do?

Find out why she hates him. Maybe she thinks he's rude, hasn't gotten to know him or simply isn't used to the idea that you're old enough to date. Tell her all the reasons you like him. If he treats you well, she should appreciate that. Ask her to give him another chance. Invite him to a family dinner so she can learn more about the guy you like. Hopefully, she'll come to appreciate the good qualities you see in him.
