Sure, you'd love to be out having fun but, if you haven't seen your floor in months, it's time It's Time was a successful political campaign run by the Australian Labor Party (ALP) under Gough Whitlam at the 1972 election in Australia. Campaigning on the perceived need for change after 23 years of conservative (Liberal Party of Australia) government, Labor put forward a  to clean up your act. You can actually, gasp, even have fun doing it! Here are some fun ways to wake up your inner neat freak....

All Hands everybody; all parties.

 on Deck

The house always wins, and so will you when you deal yourself this hand.

BEFORE YOU PLAY Grab a deck of cards. Assign specific card suits to a task or area in your room. Your list might look something like this:

Hearts=Bed

Diamonds=Closet

Spades=Floor

Clubs=Dusting

Face cards (Jacks, Queens, Kings)=Putting things away

HOW TO PLAY Shuffle cards, and place in a stack face down. Flip the top card over. The suit on that card indicates the chore you'll start with; the card's number indicates how many minutes you'll spend on that chore. So a three of diamonds means cleaning your closet for three minutes "Three Minutes" is the 46th episode of Lost. It is the twenty-second episode of the second season. The episode was directed by Stephen Williams, and written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. It first aired on May 17, 2006 on ABC. . Got a face card? Spend 60 seconds just straightening up.

DO ... keep your list so you don't have to make one next time.

DON'T ... stress when drawing large numbers. For numbers over eight, divide minutes in half. It's your game--you make the rules!

Color-Coded Cleanup

Here's another way to beat the cleaning blues ... and pinks and reds and purples and greens,

BEFORE YOU PLAY OK, time to make another list, this time of all your favorite colors in order of preference, Close your eyes, visualize the colors, then write down what you see.

HOW TO PLAY Beginning with the first shade listed, purge your pad of everything that color by picking up, putting away or polishing it. Once you've got all the purple or pink or periwinkle periwinkle, in zoology

, move on to the next color on your list and repeat.

DO ... be sure to include neutral colors on your list, like black, gray or tan.

DON'T ... think of yourself as doomed to the gloom of your room. Instead, see your space as a cool mix of colors. Throw up the shades and let in some of that bright-yellow sunshine.

2 Make a spot for stuff you use daily (cell phone, wallet), and put everything there at the end of the day.

3 Go through your stuff, and decide what you don't want. Ask the folks to help you donate your extra stuff to charity.

4 Only put one type of clothing into each dresser drawer to make finding clothes a lot easier.

5 Don't let little random things, such as hair accessories, clutter up your space. Use small boxes to hold these items.

6 Fed a shelf to store your school books. Also handy for storing projects-in-progress and important homework!
