The Force will be with a Los Angeles-area AIDS foundation that's been chosen to host one of the first screenings anywhere of George Lucas' new ``Star Wars'' installment.

, will begin mailing invitations next week soliciting potential buyers for three different ticket packages. The most expensive, ``The Jedi Knight Package,'' costs $25,000 and includes 10 seats to the movie screening, 10 tickets to a post-premiere party being produced by Along Came Mary, and 10 additional movie and party tickets for 10 HIV-positive children to attend. The ``Skywalker Package,'' at $10,000, buys eight seats and eight party tickets and sponsors eight HIV-positive children; and the ``Obi-Wan'' package ($5,000) buys four reserved seats and four party passes and sponsors four children.

An undisclosed number of additional tickets are being sold for $500 apiece on a first-come, first-served basis through Levy, Pazanti and Associates at (310) 201-5033.

Cook said that Lucasfilm has specified that all tickets to the fund-raiser must be sold. No complimentary passes will be available, even to 20th Century Fox, the film's distributor. The L.A. fund-raiser is being underwritten by Flexjet, a company that arranges part ownership of corporate and business jets. The company also will be donating $500 a ticket for 150 HIV-infected children and their families to attend.
