1 LOUGH Neagh Places, Methodist Hall, Moy, October 13. Take a historical journey around Lough Neagh and learn about its heritage.

2 A NIGHT at the Opera, The Playhouse, Co Derry, October 13. An evening for all music lovers when six talented soloists will take you on a journey through the most famous moments in opera.

3 Autumn Festival, Crawfordsburn Country Park, Bangor, October 17 - 18. Experience the rich sights, tastes, smells and diversity of the autumn season with fruits, nuts, berries, apples, pears and fungi. Entertainment and activities for the whole family.

4 Belfast Festival at Queen's, various locations, Belfast, October 16-31. A festival showcasing the best of international art and Northern Ireland's rich, vibrant cultural scene.

5 Harvest Threshing & Farmhouse Cooking Weekend, Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Holywood, October 17 - 18. Join the harvest celebrations with traditional craftsmanship, farmhouse cooking and storytelling.

6 Countryside Skills Taster Day, Strangford Lough, Co Down, October 16. Go to Gibbs Island and get a lesson on traditional dry stone walling.

7 Annual Pumpkinfest & Craft Fair, Castle Ward, Co Down, October 17 - 18. Pick, scoop and carve out your own pumpkin.

8 Nocturnal Nature Tour, Crom, Co Fermanagh, October 14 - 16. Take a tour of the deer park and discover what lurks amongst the trees and foliage after dark.

9 Family Fun Day, Belfast City Hall, October 18. Join in the fun with free family entertainment including a baby rave and help celebrate the reopening of Belfast's City Hall following its refurbishment.

10 Autumn Walks and Bulb Planting, The Argory, Co Armagh, October 18. All ages welcome help the estate team plant spring bulbs around the mansion.
