GISSA to invest $51 million in Mexican iron foundry. (Industry News).

Saltillo is the capital city of the northeastern Mexican state of Coahuila and the municipal seat of the municipality of the same name.
, Mexico, the parent firm of the iron foundry Cifunsa and aluminum foundry Castech, is planning to invest $51 million in a new cast iron foundry in Central Mexico. This location was selected due to the proximity to a large cluster of automobile production facilities.

Cifunsa is the largest independent foundry for gray iron engine blocks and heads in the world.

Castech is jointly owned by both GISSA and VAW Automotive Products, Bonn, Germany.
