GIRLS' TENNIS: BARTE REACHES ROUND OF 16 UNBEATEN HARVARD-WESTLAKE JUNIOR FACES SCHEDULING CONFLICT.

Byline: Erik Boal Special to the Daily News

Hilary Barte had little difficulty securing a return trip to the round of 16 in the Southern Section girls' tennis individual tournament.

Working out her schedule to be able to compete in the next phase of the event could be the most difficult task of the season for the Harvard-Westlake of Studio City junior.

Barte dropped a combined two games Saturday en route to straight-set victories over Malibu freshman Colette Aslonyan and Valencia senior Cassie Strange at the Agoura/Oak Park regional.

But as she departed Agoura High, Barte still was uncertain about what her future will hold. She is trying to coordinate her schedule to be able to play in the round of 16 - scheduled for Dec. 1 at Seal Beach Seal Beach, city (1990 pop. 25,098), Orange co., S Calif., on the Pacific coast; inc. 1915. ``It feels great (to advance),'' said Barte, who improved to 34-0 this season. ``But I don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

After losing 7-5, 6-4 in the third round of the regional to Calabasas' Celia Durkin in 2003, Barte reached the semifinals last season, suffering a 6-3, 6-1 setback setback

``I want to win it for my school,'' said Barte, one of two area singles players to advance to the round of 16, joining Campbell Hall Campbell Hall can refer to:

Reveche, who was forced to default in the second set of her round-of-16 match with Mello last year because of a back injury, also recorded two straight-set victories. She rallied from a first-set deficit against Santa Ynez's Subi Sundaram in the third round to prevail 6-4, 6-1.

``It's going to be really tough, but hopefully I can go to the (Dec. 2) semis,'' said Reveche, who has won 16 consecutive sets since a three-set loss to Brentwood's Logan Hansen Han·sen , Gerhard Henrik Armauer 1746-1845.

Harvard-Westlake was the lone area school to send both a singles player and a doubles team to the round of 16. Last year, the Wolverines, along with Calabasas and Campbell Hall, accomplished the feat.
