Myers' 8-foot shot with 17 seconds remaining increased Flintridge Prep of La Canada Flintridge's lead to three points in Saturday night's Southern Section Div.IV-A girls' basketball semifinal.

But it was freshman Megan Musashi who denied a potential tying 3-pointer from Beaumont's Hannah Price by intercepting a pass with 4 seconds left to seal the visiting Rebels' 48-45 victory at Redlands High.

"That (steal) was beautiful," said Fisher, whose team advanced to a championship game for the first time in program history. "We asked them to switch (screens), and that's exactly what they did."

Price led No. 6 Beaumont (24-3) with 27 points, including five 3- pointers, but she was held scoreless for the final 4:35, thanks to a determined defensive effort from Courtney Robinson and Musashi.

Robinson also provided the biggest 3-pointer of the game for the second- seeded Rebels (24-3), burying a shot from the top of the key with 1:31 left to give Flintridge Prep a 46-44 lead.
