A 6-foot-4 center without a true peer in the area, George put her skills to work Thursday night, totaling 28 points and 11 rebounds - both game highs - to lead visiting Palmdale to a 62-43 victory over three-time defending league champion Antelope Valley.

``I know I have somewhere to go now,'' said George, who committed to Pepperdine this month. ``So right now I'm just focused on playing basketball and playing hard for our team.''

The Falcons (17-4, 5-0) set the tone early, scoring 11 consecutive points to open the game. They led 18-3 after the first quarter and opened a 22-5 lead early in the second quarter on consecutive layups by George.

``Antelope Valley is a great team,'' Palmdale coach George Corisis said. ``They're well coached, they're very athletic and they have two great players in Crenshaw and Mosley, and they both played like champions tonight.''
