``We proved how good we can be at this tournament,'' Flintridge Prep coach Kenny Fisher said. ``When we come out ready to play, I think we can beat anybody.

``Courtney is the best scorer we have, but we are a deep team that returns most of our talent from last year. We have four girls on this team that can shoot from outside, and we have a lot of talent in the post as well.''

Flintridge Prep, ranked No.23 in the area by the Daily News, was never seriously threatened after jumping to a 17-8 lead at the end of the firstquarter. Kennedy (4-6) got a team-high 14 points from Christina Cazares but was unable to make up ground, getting outscored in every quarter.

Flintridge Prep, the five-time defending Prep League champion, figures to contend for the Southern Section Div.IV-A title this season after losing 53-45 to Woodcrest Christian of Riverside in the second round of the playoffs last season.

The Lady Rebels have returned their top six scorers from a team that finished 20-5 overall and 12-0 in league last season.

``Our first goal this season is to win our sixth consecutive Prep League title, but we also want to make a postseason run,'' Fisher said. ``With the way we're playing now, we think that's a very realistic goal.''
