HARBOR CITY - Nothing like a little controversy to spice up a 32-point game.

Chatsworth girls' basketball coach Raquel Alotis isn't making any excuses for her team's 75-43 loss to Narbonne of Harbor City on Friday night. But when she was presented with an opportunity to speak with City Section Commissioner Barbara Fiege after the game, she took it.

Alotis was frustrated the Chancellors were the only team in the City Section to be playing at Los Angeles Harbor College Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC) is one of two community colleges serving the South Bay region of Los Angeles. ``It's not the difference in the game, and we're not saying that,'' Alotis said. ``But I've been in the City Section for five years (and) there's never been any semifinal game anywhere else than Southwest. (Fiege) said that if a semifinal couldn't be hosted at Southwest, it only need be an alternate site, and Narbonne got to choose the site because they are the No. 1 seed.

``All I'm saying is that they should treat the Valley the same way they treat Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. . Fiege, for her part, maintained that ``Southwest had given them as much as they could,'' with regard to hosting games, and that the change of venue A change of venue is the legal term for moving a trial to a new location. But other than the longer drive and hostile crowd for what essentially was a home game for Narbonne, the change of venues didn't have much bearing on the game. Narbonne jumped to a 19-7 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 40-20 by halftime.

Still, Narbonne (21-6) kept up its full-court press full-court press
