The Vikings fared well in the preliminary rounds of the SCTA tournament last weekend, defeating Alhambra, Mayfair of Lakewood and North Torrance to advance to Saturday's semifinals against West Torrance. A berth in the finals later in the afternoon looms against the Marymount of Los Angeles/North Torrance winner. ``We're seeing a different level of competition this year,'' Kellogg said. ``We expect these matches to be tough.
