There's not really a bright side to the prospect of playing against two of the stingiest full-court presses in consecutive playoff games, but the Chatsworth High girls' basketball team has found a positive outlook.

``We're lucky that preparation for Wednesday's game is the same as preparation for Friday's game because they both run the same press,'' Chatsworth coach Raquel Alotis said of her team's City Section quarterfinal matchup against No. 2 Crenshaw cren·shaw   also cran·shaw

Crenshaw (22-1) is a difficult opponent to play anywhere, but it's even tougher at home. The Cougars are undefeated at their gym this season and have won 21 consecutive games.

Chatsworth (16-6), though, hopes it can play spoiler spoiler: see airplane.

, the game would be a homecoming for Chatsworth guards Mariama and Ayanna Wrighster, who transferred from Sylmar during the fall under acrimonious circumstances.

Mariama Wrighster, a senior bound for Cal State Fullerton, has missed the past three games with an ankle injury, but Alotis said she might return tonight.

Younger sister Ayanna has been stellar at point guard this season, Alotis said. She averaged seven assists a game during West Valley League play and has gelled nicely in the backcourt with fellow sophomore Luiza Osbourne, who played point guard last season but moved to shooting guard The Shooting guard (SG), also known as the two or off guard,[1] is one of five traditional positions on a basketball team. Fourth-seeded Alemany of Mission Hills (21-7) will be favored in tonight's Div. III-AA quarterfinal against La Canada (23-5), in contrast to last season, when the Indians made a surprising semifinal run. They upset third-seeded San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo (săn l`ĭs ōbĭs`pō), city (1990 pop. 41,958), seat of San Luis Obispo co., S Calif., near San Luis Obispo Bay; inc. 1856.  on the road in the second round.

``Last year, we ran on emotion,'' Alemany coach Brandie Murrish said. ``This year, we're seeded and we've got to step up and take care of business.''

Also, Valencia (21-5) will play at Palmdale (21-8) tonight in a rematch from last season, when Palmdale won in the first round and went on to reach the semifinals in competitive Div. I-AA.
