GIRL POWER! 25 years on, this Bulkington family again has five generations of women.

BABY Lydia-Pearl Morrissey is blissfully unaware of just how important she is.

Her arrival means that her family can celebrate an amazing five generations . . . for the second time.

Twenty-five years ago, there was the same celebration when Lydia-Pearl's mum, Natalie, was born.

And today, the women in the family posed for another historic picture.

Lydia-Pearl was born on April 27 weighing 8lb 13oz to mum Natalie, 25, and back in 1978 when Natalie was born she also became the fifth generation of the family.

Since Natalie's great-great grandmother, Win St Leon, died in her 90s around 20 years ago, the family have had two decades of only being able to boast four female generations.

Now Lydia-Pearl can rest assured that there will be plenty of women in her life, with her mum, grandma Kim Scrivens, 46, great-grandma Marjorie Houston, 66, and great-great-grandma Marjorie Aubrey, 86, all doting on the new baby.

All the family live in Bulkington except for great-great-grandma Marjorie, a keen ballroom dancer, who lives in Winceby Place, Tile Hill Tile Hill is a suburb in the west of Coventry. The railway line linking Rugby, Coventry and Birmingham goes through Tile Hill, and Tile Hill railway station is within Tile Hill near its eastern border with Solihull.  North.

Natalie, who owns Wallpaper Plus in Quinton Parade, Cheylesmore, with her mum Kim, said: "Its wonderful for us all, and especially little Lydia- Pearl. I really wanted a girl so much and was really pleased when she was born.

"My husband was determined it was going to be a boy and wanted to start a football team. He is just as pleased with a girl though.

"It is wonderful that Lydia-Pearl will have so many people around her. She will be spoilt rotten."

Mrs Scrivens added: "I remember when I had Natalie in 1978 and now she is having her own baby and we are five generations again.

"We are such a close family, and I am really proud to be a grandmother."

And oldest family member great-great grandma Marjorie said: "It is nice that we have five generations. Lydia-Pearl will be well looked after."
