Senior Center. ``Mine's not very original though. I keep looking around at the kids' houses to get ideas.'' About 20 students from North Park Elementary in Valencia joined a handful of seniors and spent the day making the creations that will form an 8-by-12-foot village to be displayed in the hotel's lobby for the holiday season, starting Dec. 4. Some planted lollipops on either side of the front door, while those with a flair for landscaping lathered ice cream cones with green icing and colored sprinkles and fixed them upside down as Christmas trees in the front yard. ``It was really fun making it,'' said Hannah Eichers, 9. ``I tried not to eat too much candy, but I did have some Rolos. Plus we got to miss school.'' North Park Principal Catherine Laws, her hands caked with white icing, said she jumps at the chance to get her students involved with the community. ``The whole premise is to get the students together with the seniors and the hotel staff,'' she said. ``I wish we could have brought more children. Teachers had their students write essays about why it's important to do community projects. Based on the essays, the children voted on which classmates Classmates can refer to either:
