Scrooge (deliciously played by the aptly named Eric Christmas) goes through his yearly transformation and finds the true meaning of Christmas. The story moves along at a fast pace through the play's use of carolers, citizens of London and party guests as narrators. Sets and songs of the season add to the sparkle. The wandering ghost of unfortunate Marley (Stu Levin), Scrooges's long-dead partner, warns Scrooge on Christmas Eve that he must transform or suffer Marley's fate. Three spirits will come to show him the error of his ways. The spirit of Christmas Past (the ethereal Marcy Mattox) shows Scrooge his lonely childhood (Jonathan Kunke plays the boyhood Scrooge), whose pain was relieved only by his delicate sister Fannie (Jessica Ozar). As a young man, Scrooge (Kent Winfrey) passes up the love of his life, Belle (a winsome win·some adj. Charming, often in a childlike or naive way. The flamboyant Terry Lester Terry Lester (April 13, 1950 - November 28, 2003) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and began an acting career while at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. After years of musical theater, concert performances, numerous primetime TV guest roles, and a season starring in the , the spirit of Christmas Present, enlightens Scrooge on the present state of affairs. Scrooge's underpaid assistant, Bob Cratchit Robert "Bob" Cratchit is a fictional character, the abused, underpaid clerk of Ebenezer Scrooge in the Charles Dickens story A Christmas Carol. In the story, Cratchit is seen at work, where he copies letters by hand in an underheated "dismal little cell", "a sort of tank", (the likeable like·a·ble adj. Variant of likable. Scrooge's nephew Fred (charmingly rendered by James C. Egan) has always been friendly to his uncle despite repeated rebuffs. The Spirit of the Future (Alan Toll) does not speak, but shows Scrooge what will happen when he dies. In an hilarious scene a Laundress (Susan Gunn) and a Charwoman (Richard Harwood) colorfully argue with the Undertaker's Man (Terry Lester) over Scrooge's last effects. By play's end Scrooge has determined to transform his selfish ways and make amends to those dear to him and the world at large. Others in this talented cast included: Terry Fishman as Mr. Franklin-Finch, Vera Wendley as Mrs. Coleville, Chris Frizelle as Dick Wilkins, Jessica Kinkade as Clara, Heather Viau as Sarah, David McAllister as Old Joe, and Keith Toll as Turkey Boy. The Cratchit family consisted of: Melanie Lindgren as Mrs. Cratchit, Allison Rhodes as Belinda, Kelly Dodson as Meg, Jeff Arias as Peter, Jonathan Kunke as St. John, and Heather Viau as Martha.
