GIFA registration on target for projected goals with increased Asian presence.

Two months prior to the opening of GIFA 2007, the International Foundry Trade Fair and WFO technical Forum, 781 exhibitors from more than 35 countries already have registered.

GIFA, held concurrently with Metec, Thermprocess and Newcast, will convene June 12-16, 2007, at the fairgrounds in Dusseldorf, Germany. Registration is currently ramping up to the approximately 800 exhibitors expected at the trade show.

The registrants for the 2007 iteration of GIFA, held once very four years, show a markedly international flair, with Asian countries occupying significantly more space than in 2003. Attendance at the four fairs should feel those benefits, according to organizers.

"The companies appreciate the high international level and the impulse power of the four trade fairs," said Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, project director of the fairs. "In 2007, we expect more than 1,700 exhibitors."
