GETTING ON FAMOUSLY.

Gosh, here's some jolly super software that contains a feast of edutainment for youngsters aged seven to 12. The Famous Five classic can be read on screen, or you can listen while actress Susannah York reads it.

There is a point-and-click game based on the plot, plus audio and video clips. Comprehension, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary are all tested in entertaining ways. It is well structured to improve literacy skills - and most children probably won't realise they are learning while they play. Smashing.
