The 15th annual Love Ride brought out more than 20,000 motorcyclists as they rumbled 50 miles from Glendale to Castaic Lake Castaic Lake is a lake on Castaic Creek formed by Castaic Dam, in northwestern Los Angeles County, California, near the town of Castaic. The ride brought out bikers from all walks of life: tattooed bikers, clean-cut bikers, professional bikers. ``We all have our bikes and our love for riding in common,'' Meinke said as he tightened his black bandana. ``Everyone's so different, yet the same.'' Participants each paid a minimum $50 to ride. Several bikers, such as Alice Scheer, sought pledges from family members. ``For me, this is about charity and giving to others less fortunate than me,'' said Scheer, who raised $250 for the event. ``It's a good feeling.'' Bikers took advantage of the extensive trade show, a dream swap meet for bikers. It offered everything from performance products to custom coating techniques that would spruce up anybody's motorcycle. A noon stunt show also entertained the crowd. Past Love Ride celebrity participants include Bruce Springsteen, Dennis Hopper and ZZ Top.
