Longtime Colorado prospect Choo Freeman Choo Freeman (born Raphael Desepition Freeman on October 20, 1979 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas) is a Major League outfielder who plays for the Las Vegas 51s of the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league system.  has signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers with an invite to major-league camp, which opens Friday in Vero Beach Vero Beach (vēr`o), city (1990 pop. 17,350), seat of Indian River co., E Fla., on Indian River (a lagoon and part of the Intracoastal Waterway); founded c.1888, inc. 1919. , Fla.

Freeman, 27, can play all three outfield positions. He was released last week by the Rockies after eightyears in the organization. He has a .225 average and three homers in 151 major-league games.
