The companies hope to reach initial decisions by June. DaimlerChrysler Aerospace, based in Munich, is a leading partner in European aerospace programs such as Airbus, Eurofighter and Ariane. It had sales of $9.2 billion in 1999 and has a work force of 46,000 employees. Northrop Grumman had revenues of $9 billion last year and has a work force of about 45,000 employees. |
