 GEORGIA-PACIFIC DID NOT BID ON P&G PROPERTIES
 ATLANTA, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia-Pacific Corp. (NYSE: GP)


today said that contrary to the implication of reports in the press, the company did not bid on the pulp business and related assets that recently were offered for sale by The Procter & Gamble Co.
 As reported in a public filing in July, Georgia-Pacific gave a non- binding indication of interest in the assets offered for sale by Procter & Gamble and conducted a preliminary due diligence review. Following its review, Georgia-Pacific decided not to bid on the properties.
