GEORGE M. PARKER ELECTED TO FIDUCIARY TRUST BOARD NEW YORK, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- George M. Parker has been elected
to the board of directors of Fiduciary Trust Company International, the global investment management firm announced today.
Parker, 55, is president and a director of General Atlantic Group Limited, a Bermuda-based global investment company; president and a director of Interselex Limited, an international fixed income management firm based in Bermuda; and a director of Duty Free Shoppers Group Limited, the world's largest operator of duty free airport retail concessions. He is a former director of Gotaas-Larsen Shipping Company of Bermuda. Fiduciary Trust expanded its board to 20 members with the election of Parker. Fiduciary Trust Company International, with $22 billion in assets under management, is a New York State chartered bank. Headquartered in New York, the company serves its worldwide clients from offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, London, Geneva and Hong Kong. Parker founded Interselex Limited in 1971. From 1969 to 1970, he was vice president of the Paris branch of Drexel, Harriman, Ripley, a Philadelphia-based investment bank. From 1966 to 1969, he was vice president of Lehman Brothers International in New York and Paris and, from 1962 to 1966, he was a consultant with Booz Allen and Hamilton in New York. Parker graduated from Yale University in 1958 with a B.A. in economics and earned an M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1960. Parker graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1954. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Bermuda Biological Station for Research.
