GENICOM forms service partnership with Siemens Nixdorf; Three year agreement expected to generate over $25 million in revenue.

CHANTILLY, VA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 1996--GENICOM Corporation (Nasdaq:GECM) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Siemens Nixdorf Information Systems, Inc. to provide a wide range of computer maintenance services for Siemens Nixdorf's customers in the United States.

Under the terms of the agreement, which is expected to generate in excess of $25 million over a three-year period, GENICOM will provide nationwide on-site service for a broad array of PCs, UNIX servers, mainframes, peripherals and point of sale equipment from leading vendors.

The partnership will be supported by a force approaching 500 GENICOM field engineers with extensive experience servicing high-technology products. As part of the agreement, approximately 60 Siemens Nixdorf field engineers will be joining GENICOM, and the entire field staff will be backed by specialists operating from the Siemens Nixdorf support center in Burlington, MA.
