 GENESEE CORPORATION NAMES NEW BOARD MEMBERS
 ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesee Corporation


(NASDAQ: GENBB) today announced that William A. Buckingham and Samuel T. Hubbard Jr. have been elected to serve on the corporation's board of directors.
 Buckingham is executive vice president of First Empire State corporation and M&T Bank, which has 149 branch banking offices throughout upstate New York. In addition, Buckingham serves as president of M&T Bank's Rochester Banking Division.
 Buckingham is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and has more than 20 years' experience in the banking industry. He began his career in banking in 1968 and was a vice president of Lincoln First Bank in Rochester, N.Y. He later held a number of senior posts with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company before joining M&T Bank in 1990. Buckingham serves as a trustee of Rochester Institute of Technology and is also a member of the boards of trustees of Millard Filmore Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y., Canisius College and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. Buckingham resides with his wife, Anne, in Rochester, N.Y. They have three children.
 Hubbard is president and chief executive officer of The Alling and Cory Company, a leading distributor of paper and packaging products headquartered in Rochester, N.Y. Prior to joining Alling and Cory in 1985, Hubbard was employed in a variety of managerial capacities with Chase Lincoln First Bank in Rochester, N.Y.
 Hubbard is a graduate of Denison University and holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Rochester. He is a member of the boards of directors of McCurdy & Company, Inc., Sodus Cold Storage, Inc. and the National Paper Trade Association. Hubbard serves as a trustee of Allendale Columbia School and the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a member of the advisory boards of Rochester General Hospital, Rochester School for the Deaf and Rochester's Child Advisory. He also serves on the executive committee of the board of directors of United Way of Greater Rochester. Hubbard resides in the town of Brighton, N.Y., with his wife, Peggy, and their two children.
