GENERON SYSTEMS INTRODUCES NEW MEMBRANE MODULE

GENERON SYSTEMS INTRODUCES NEW MEMBRANE MODULE
NEW YORK, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Generon Systems today announced

it is introducing a new hollow fiber membrane module to the U.S. and overseas markets. The new Generon HP 6000 will officially be introduced during the New York Chem Show, Dec. 9-12, at the Javits Center in New York.
The Generon HP 6000 is an improved version of the original Generon HP 4200 and is smaller and lighter. The original Generon HP 4200 weighed 150 pounds, while the new version weighs a mere 50 pounds. The new module represents both the marketplace demand for more compact sources of nitrogen and technical improvements Generon Systems has developed since the Generon HP was first introduced.
Flux capacity of the Generon HP has increased 100 percent in the last two years. Flux refers to the amount of product nitrogen produced by a given amount of hollow fiber. The increase in flux capacity results in more nitrogen gas produced by the same amount of fiber. In places where space and weight are limited but nitrogen is needed, this is very good news. The membrane module case weighs less and the entire package has a higher temperature capability than its predecessor.
A smaller more rigorous nitrogen membrane is ideal for controlled atmosphere transportation of perishable commodities, offshore marine applications, or nitrogen production in environments where nitrogen sources have not been previously available.
The new membrane module represents Generon Systems' commitment to research and development and process improvements that keep Generon HP technology in the forefront of non-cryogenic nitrogen-producing technology.
Generon Systems is a joint venture of the Dow Chemical Company and the BOC Group.
