GENERATION 5 REPORTS RECORD FOURTH QUARTER SALES
 DENVER, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Generation 5 Technology Inc.

(NASDAQ: GFIV) a leader in the development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), reported record sales for the fourth quarter of 1991. Generation 5 invoiced $936,000 for the three-month period ended Dec. 31, 1991, and the company expects earned revenue for the quarter to exceed $800,000 compared with revenues of $649,100 for the like period last year. Fourth quarter sales and expected revenues exceed any prior quarters in the company's history. Audited results for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1991 will be available in March 1992.
According to Mark Wilding, president of Generation 5, two significant factors contributed to this record quarter. First, many new clients took advantage of the new "bundled" software program providing an effective vehicle to jump start their GIS effort. The second factor was an extremely strong contribution from G5's Value Added Reseller (VAR) sales channel. "We expect our resellers to play an increasingly important role in the continued growth of Generation 5 in 1992," stated Wilding.
A publicly-held company, Generation 5 Technology is a pacesetter in the emerging fields of Automated Mapping (AM/FM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Facilities Management (FM) software systems. The company distinguished itself by being the first to develop sophisticated, fully-topological computer mapping, facilities management, and GIS software that takes advantage of the industry- standard AutoCAD(R) computer graphics system. The Geo/SQL(R) GIS software allows low-cost desktop 386 and 486 PS/2s, and UNIX workstations to be linked with sophisticated database applications running on local area networks (LANS) and mainframe computers. The company's customers include Federal, state and local government, utilities and major corporations, both in the United States and internationally.
