GENERAL MOTORS ACCEPTANCE CORPORATION EXERCISES OPTION TO PURCHASE REMAINDER OF GMAC 1992-B GRANTOR TRUST

 DETROIT, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- General Motors Acceptance Corporation announced today that it will exercise its option to purchase on Sept. 15, 1993, the remainder of the GMAC 1992-B Grantor Trust. This purchase will result in a termination of all of the outstanding GMAC 1992-B Grantor Trust 5.20 percent Asset-Backed Certificates due to mature March 15, 1994. The Certificates will be purchased at $68.4901005 per $1,000 face amount, plus accrued interest from Aug. 15, 1993, to but not including Sept. 15, 1993.
 A total of $1,006,841,030.30 of Class A Certificates were sold to the public in March 1992.
 The Certificates may be presented and surrendered for payment to The First National Bank of Chicago, Registered Bond Processing Unit, One First National Plaza, Suite 0124, Chicago, IL 60670-0124. Interest on the Certificates will cease to accrue as of the Termination Date of Sept. 15, 1993.
